"Shatter the Expectations" began with my love for sneakers and sports, inspired by the recent rerelease of the Shattered Backboard Air Jordan 1 Retro Highs—a pair I’d dreamed of owning since my first job in 2016. At first, I tied the concept to an Ohio football team with orange uniforms, echoing the sneaker’s color story. But as the project developed, it grew into something bigger: a celebration of Nike athletes who embody the spirit of defying limits. From Shedeur Sanders, who fell to the fifth round despite top-pick expectations yet is commanding the attention of football fans everywhere, to Caitlin Clark, who’s becoming as synonymous with the WNBA as LeBron is with the NBA, the project evolved into a narrative about athletes who truly ‘shatter the expectations.’
